Mike Shehadeh has made the spotlight in recent Homestead City Council meetings, for his out spoken verbal discussions with incumbent Councilwomen Judy Waldman. The Mayor and City Manager came under fire for both receiving raises in the time when City of Homestead had to layoff "20" plus city employees. Wendy Lobos attempted to justify the raise for Shehadeh by saying "that the city manager saved the city 11 million dollars in expenses".
Audelia Martinez, pleaded with city council to be reasonable across the board and salary cuts should come from above starting with Mayor, City Council and City Manager. A plea that was ignored!
Now, there’s speculation that Ex-Vice Mayor Steve Losner will be come the next City Manager if Lynda Bell is re-elected as Mayor for 2 more years?? Steve Losner left many if his supporters in shock and disappointment when he physically appeared at City Hall with intent to run documentation and never submitted his bid by the deadline. I guess this explains why he didn’t run and why he supports Lynda Bell after the negative campaigning from the 2007 elections.
Deputy City Manager Johanna Faddis, has proved and earned the opportunity to City Manager if it ever arises, but if this is true this tells you that the old saying is very true..” It’s not what you know, but who you know”.!
And you bloggers state that it was untrue? Well, it is getting out there. Read between the lines.

ReplyDeleteThis story is so outrageous, it smacks of a classic Shiver move to divide and conquer. The real story is that the Bateman bunch is so desperate for Losner's support that they have planted this story to smoke him out and have him say he is not supporting Bell. Look, we all know that once you are on the Mayors naughty, bad behavior list, you never get off and back in good graces. There is no such thing as forgive and forget. Besides that, she and Wendy still blame Losner for the tv news crew chasing Wendy to question her about whether she was a resident of the Villages or even a legal resident at all. Trust me, Losner is sitting quiet on this Mayoral election and is not supporting either candidate.

The Mayor can specuate all she wants, but SHE DOES NOT HAVE NOR WILL EVER HAVE LOSNER'S SUPPORT! Losner is way smarter than that, why don't you talk to him yourself? One thing is true about Losner, he speaks the truth, whether you want to hear it or not. Losner supported Martinez in the primary and now that she is out, he has laid low. Maybe you need to do the same.
Forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this subject but I don’t see the harm of Steve Losner becoming City Manager. With that said, I am definitely not a Lynda Bell supporter. I have seen her evilness first hand, but on the horrible chance that she does get the opportunity to run this City further into the ground another term, the silver lining to that dark cloud is in fact Steve Losner becoming City Manager. The current City Manager is nothing shy of the devil’s spawn. And when did Mrs. Faddis become a “Deputy” City Manger? What happened to her title as Assistant City Manager, does this title change means she got a raise too – while approving the 20-some layoffs? And for the story to say she is deserving of a City Manager position – I have read her bio, so she has 15 years at the City, I am sure there are others that have 15 plus years too; does that mean that they are qualified to become City Manager too? When will the Lynda Bell supporters open there eyes and see that their votes are not a vote for Integrity, but a vote for dishonesty and deceit. Yes, her dessert parties were nice to attend, but will the real Lynda Bell please stand up and show her true colors so the residents of Homestead that she has used her trickery on be enlightened? ReplyDeleteLet me clear this. Before I left she said those words that Losner is supporting her. Now she is denying it? Who is lying? It is not both ways another Bell Team turn the words around. He also supported Angel. So those were the words from her lips. Take them for what they are worth. I am just stating what she said.

Sorry to disappoint you, but you can't blame that post on Alex. I am not arguing with you that Lynda Bell said it, nor that she is denying it cause I don't know since I don't speak with that woman! Let's be clear, she did not get that info from Losner because he is not supporting either mayoral candidate. I know he does, in fact, support Angel because I've seen the sign in his yard and I know he supported him the last time he ran as well. But this isn't about Angel, this is about believing what spews out of Bell's mouth at any given time.

One of our great founding fathers of this country quoted; Question with Boldness and to bring this to more recent history the Civil Right Activist, The Great Martin Luther King said; " Speak without Fear." I will continue on in our country's traditoin aformentioned above to always ? and without fear. Homestead Citizen's I would listen to what our great political leaders have stated in the past and listen to them now. For they want us to lay down and not ? anything they do? When the opposition writes for the city of Homestead, which includes me, I will ? everything and without fear. That is what this country was founded upon. This is why our country is going the way it is due to no ? without fear combined.

OMG...this rumor is just too damn funny! People actually think that Losner would give up his independence to go and WORK FOR LYNDA BELL. Sorry, but I just don't see that happening. Besides, Bell would not be able to function properly without Shehadeh. Who do you think is the brains behind that operation- it certainly is not Bell. As for Ms. Faddis earning her right to be City Manager- that has yet to be seen. Please back-up that statement with examples...

ReplyDeleteYou can say whatever you want about Losner, but he would have been a better Mayor than Bell. Bell is destructive and vindictive; its her way or the highway. I know that deep down somewhere in that heart of Losner that he cares for this City. Steve Losner may be a self serving individual at times but he sure as hell would not have destroyed this City the way Lynda Bell has. I highly doubt Losner would be supporting Bell, but stranger things have happened.

ReplyDeleteTo who ever posted this article...I have only one disagreement with you. Johanna Faddis is no where near qualified to by Assistant City Manager, Deputy City Manager or City Manager - EVER! The only job she was ever "qualified" for was the administrative assistant position she was hired as way back 15 years ago. Every other position and promotion was created especially for her by Mike Shehadeh. As long as you are "favored" by your boss, you don't have to be qualified to wipe their butt to advance! So please don't fool yourself! I'm no fan of Steve Losner, but he is far more qualified to be City Manager than her. I seriously hope (for the sake of Homestead) it never comes to that.

I was at Keys Gate last night, When the Bell team thought they were all alone in the parking lot, I was listening in. and it is true what Patty is saying. Losner is with Bell. What a LOOSER anyway. I never met the man but he gives me a chill that causes me to be concerned. Nazy kept shooting Dagers at me all night in the audience. What a pathetic bunch of leaders we have. They are the most mean sprited, rude, disrespecting and ungrateful bunch of loosers I have ever seen. The only decent one is Nelson and he's a swinger, so he's out. Unless you are a heathen with loose morals or one of the family members on the Bell team, You should not vote for these evil dictators that have taken over our city! My vote is for ANYONE but BELL, NAZY, NELSON, ANGEL, and McCORMICK!!!!!!!!
